Benjamin Pacheco/EL VIGÍA bpacheco@elvigia.net |Ensenada, BC Children from the “Leyes de Reforma” primary school, located in Valle Verde, have to use portable latrines in poor hygienic conditions, so parents demand that the situation be corrected due to the risk that their children will contract some kind of infection.Those affected shared photographs of the three units at El Vigía, which look dirty and unattended, inside the school facilities located on Avenida Ámbar, without number, in the aforementioned neighborhood.According to the data, since the last cycle the girls' bathroom was broken so they were allowed to use the corresponding one for boys.And to serve the latter, the authorities installed three bathrooms inside the campus;these units are used by more than 300 students in both shifts.“We have already been waiting for more than three months for the repair of our 'Leyes de Reforma' primary school.Parents need the Government, through the SEP or the corresponding instance, to take action on the matter.“The children could get an infection due to the condition of the portable toilets that they have been using all this time pending the completion of the repair work in the regular toilet building.We know that in case of any infection, or illness due to the above, no one will be held responsible, "they stressed.Lack of material They added that the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) sent an order from Mexicali to do the repair, but apparently the masons left due to lack of payment.Personnel from the State Educational System (SEE) reported that the responsibility for the work falls on the Movaldi Group construction company, which justified "lack of material" and that they are waiting for it to arrive in order to conclude.The SEE, through the Department of Infrastructure, assured that they will insist that the company not delay the work any longer.
