Chihuahua, Chih.as of January 26, 2022During Tuesday night, Mayor Marco Bonilla provided a wheelchair, portable toilet, diapers, cane and walker to older adults who, due to their age or illness, can no longer walk. He also delivered groceries, blankets and sanitizing kits to other families, to prevent COVID infections.In the company of the deputy director of the Citizen Organization, Baltazar Ramírez;the deputy of District 18, Carla Rivas and the basketball player, José "Pepito" Rodríguez, representing the State Basketball Association, toured the streets of the Villa Juárez neighborhood last night to deliver support and learn about the problems of the zone.The Municipal President, on his first visit, delivered a wheelchair, portable toilet and supply of diapers to Mrs. Nicolasa Tarango, who for 8 years has taken care of her older brother, who due to his age cannot walk and cannot see , they also gave him two pantries because he also takes care of another brother who suffers from his mental faculties."Here we are as we promised in the campaign that we were going to return, they informed us that he was requesting a wheelchair for his brother and here we come to deliver it," Bonilla Mendoza told Nicolasa, who gave shelter to her two brothers after the death of the oldest of them with whom they lived.On her part, Nicolasa Tarango thanked her for her support, because sometimes it is hard for her to take care of her two brothers, although sometimes her daughter helps her take care of them when she has to go out to do some paperwork and shopping."Some ladies from the Municipal Government came to ask what we needed and I told them about my situation and the things I needed and now the Mayor came to deliver me and I thank them for their support," said Mrs. Tarango.Another of the beneficiaries was Mr. Jesús López, who suffered a stroke and due to his condition is in bed due to having difficulty walking, for which, through the personnel of the Human Development Directorate during the tours of the neighborhoods, they detected the case and from the hands of the Municipal President, a walker was delivered to support himself and be able to move.In addition to the chairs, canes, portable toilets and walkers, other families were given two pantries, thanks to the collaboration of the State Basketball Association, who, in December, organized a charity game to collect supplies not perishables that they are now delivering to vulnerable families in the south of the city.
